Suzuki

Suzuki New Zealand

Suzuki New Zealand, with 27 motor vehicle dealers nationwide, is pleased to announce a 'preferred vehicle partnership' agreement with the SeniorNet Federation of New Zealand and its 17,000 members.

Background

  • Suzuki already enjoys a very strong level of brand loyalty with private vehicle buyers in New Zealand, and particularly in the 50+ market
  • The Suzuki range of vehicles is well suited to this market, with features that appeal and meet their purchasing criteria more than most other motor vehicle brands. With their already strong brand loyalty in this market, it made sense for them to establish a preferred vehicle partnership with SeniorNet

How it works

  • When making a purchase of a new vehicle, SeniorNet members who decide to test drive and/or purchase a Suzuki will need to apply for a membership number from The SeniorNet Federation
  • This can be done by email to grant@seniornet.co.nz - and this number will then be given to the Suzuki dealer as 'identification' of SeniorNet membership

The benefits for SeniorNet Members

  • When considering the purchase of a new motor vehicle, SeniorNet members will be encouraged to include Suzuki on their 'shopping list'
  • An extensive range of product information will be available via the SeniorNet Learning Centres (product brochures, price lists etc).
  • Suzuki will provide regular information and courses on subjects associated with developments in motor vehicle technology and other aspects related to driving
  • They will then be entitled to a variety of exclusive added value opportunities and benefits (provision will be flexible depending on other Suzuki promotions currently in the market) but could include such things as:

    • Extended warranties
    • Free Fuelcards (permanent discount off fuel purchases)
    • Free GPS installed
    • Free magazine subscriptions
    • Special finance offers through Suzuki Finance
    • On road costs paid by Suzuki
    • AA annual membership fee paid
    • $50 MTA petrol vouchers for SeniorNet members who complete test drives
    • Upgrades/additional extras & accessories at discount
    • Discount off normal retail price (this aspect will be limited in application due to other Suzuki promotional offers regularly in place)

The Sponsorship deal - What is in it for SeniorNet?

  • Suzuki will also help fund SeniorNet activities by paying a 'sponsorship fee' for every new Suzuki vehicle sold to a SeniorNet member
  • Suzuki are providing a SeniorNet signwritten vehicle for day-to-day use, which will be used to promote the partnership at Learning Centre meetings around the country

The Suzuki/SeniorNet preferred vehicle partnership is another initiative in our attempt to bring added value arrangements to our SeniorNet members …. so please support it and make sure you consider Suzuki on your shopping list if you are looking to purchase a new vehicle … now or in the future!

    SeNCit

SeNCit Provides "Caring" Solution for the New Zealand Elderly
A new compact multi-function care monitoring device

A revolutionary, cost-effective and unique multi-care monitoring device, SeNCit is available online in the New Zealand market place.

SeNCit is a small, discreet monitoring device that helps you know when an individual may have had a fall or become incapacitated - without them having to raise the alarm.

It does this by monitoring movement in the home and, if no movement is detected when there should be, SeNCit will send a text message to your mobile phone so you can call to make sure everything is well.

SeNCit is available in the United Kingdom and is already a proven leader in the market. Its UK founders, Helen and Mark Bates, created this affordable piece of technology to offer an innovative solution to the aged care market and their families.

SeNCit New Zealand, who distributes SeNCit in Australasia like their UK counterparts believe this sophisticated technology, will significantly help the elderly, who are not getting any formal support lead independent lives in their own homes.

CEO, John Green says, "Nowadays, more families of the elderly are living away from their parents. This makes it increasingly difficult for them to be available to monitor their health closely. SeNCit now provides a solution to this problem, by alerting families or other relatives via a text message."

"Because you can't always be there."

SeNCit is easy to install and can simply be attached to wall in a high traffic area within the home, like a hallway

With flexible, personalised settings, SeNCit will text nominated friends or relatives in the following situations:

    • No movement detected within the home when there should be.
    • When in security mode if movement is detected with in the house
    • Should the ambient temperature become too COLD or too HOT within the home
    • If there is a mains power cut or the SeNCit unit is unplugged
    • All Ok message that SeNCit is active with an update of all monitored conditions

Because alarm messages are sent directly to a carer's mobile phones time delay is minimal.

SeNCit is available for purchase from $599 with free delivery, a pre-installed Vodafone Sim card and a low monthly communication cost of $15.00 per month on a 24 month contract.

SeN-Cit + D with wireless door sensor is $749 with free delivery a pre-installed Vodafone Sim card and a low monthly communication cost of $15.00 per month on a 24 month contract.

For more information visit, www.sencitmonitor.com, to purchase call 0800 4 SENCIT(0800 736 248) or email contact@sencitmonitor.com (be sure to say you are a member of SeniorNet)

Upcoming in June/July 2013 - Music for Romantics

Love has caused wars, duels, launched fleets, it has built and collapsed empires - a wonderful new show from the award winning Daytime Concert Series will have all of this but luckily only in the form of song!

We present many different musical genres such as classics like A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square, Plaisir d'amour, Be My Love, You Are My Heart's Delight combining with Makin' Whoopee, What a Wonderful World, As Time Goes By, as well as a little Puccini added into the mix. The string trio will play some Mozart, Joplin, Borodin, as well as famous love themes like the beautiful Deerhunter theme resulting in a wonderful mix of music with everyone's favourites included!

Music for Romantics is proudly presented by Operatunity under its Daytime Concerts arm and this show will celebrate Love in all its many forms, join them to laugh and cry and ohh and ahh your way through some of the best love songs of all time. Three professional singers and string trio present these favourite songs, led by violinist extraordinaire Jessica Hindin.

Jessica completed a performance violin degree at Auckland University, then travelled to Ireland and performed as part of a traditional Irish stage show in Galway. Whilst there, she joined the international touring show "Barrage" based in Alberta Canada. After almost five years of extensive touring encompassing five continents, she returned home to continue her career. Recently she has performed in NZ with such artists as Harry Connick Jnr, Eileen Page, Boh Runger, Hayley Westinra, and Tim Beverage. She has been involved with many TVNZ productions including 'Stars in Their Eyes' and 'To Sir with Love' Howard Morrison Tribute.

With lovely singing and a stunning trio, this is a show with laughs as well as romance - even if you come by yourself you will laugh and maybe even end up holding hands with yourself.

Operatunity Director Susan Boland says "This is a concert designed to celebrate the joy of love but don't be put off as it is not going to be all sickly sweet! It encompasses wonderful songs, luscious melodies but also the quirky and funny songs about love as well. And if you are not in love this minute, you will enjoy our slightly irreverent concert without needing to over-indulge in too much chocolate, ice-cream or drink on the journey home!"
